Librarian – Open University of Sri Lanka

The Open University of Sri Lanka will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Librarian up to 21.03.2025. 

Recruitment qualifications for the Post of Librarian and all relevant information can be obtained from the website (https://www.ou.ac.lk/vacancies) including University Grants Commission Circular No. 921.

Salary Scale:

• Rs. 117,350 - 13 x 2,700 - 152,450 p.m.
• In addition to the above salary, 

1. The following allowances will be paid for permanent appointees in the percentage of the basic salary. 

(i) Academic Allowance - 203% 

(ii) Additional monthly allowance - 20% of the Basic Salary 

(iii) Research allowance - 35% (based on the research activity)

*The above rates are subject to change in accordance with government regulations. 

2. Cost of living allowance of Rs. 17,800/= p.m

Prescribed application forms and details regarding the Post of Librarian could be obtained from the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments Division during office hours or could be downloaded from the University Website: https://www.ou.ac.lk/vacancies. Requests for application forms by post should be accompanied by a self–addressed stamped envelope of 23 x 10 cm in size. All applications together with certified copies of relevant certificates should be forwarded to the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments, The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala, Nugegoda under registered cover on or before 21.03.2025. Incomplete, illegible, or applications received after the closing date will be rejected. The post should be indicated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
