Plant Manager – Litro Gas Limited Colombo

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to lead and manage all operations at our Filling Plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plant operations management, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all operational and administrative activities of the filling plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations while achieving daily and monthly filling schedules. 
• Ensure full compliance with all HSE and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards in plant safety, housekeeping, and equipment integrity. 
• Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules, preventive maintenance, manpower allocation, and procurement of materials and services to ensure uninterrupted operations. 
• Collaborate effectively with terminal operations, finance, procurement, sales & marketing, and quality assurance teams, as well as external service providers, to optimize plant performance and resolve operational issues promptly. 
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the plant workforce by promoting safety awareness, teamwork, technical skill development, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 
• Monitor and control operational costs, drive process optimization initiatives, and recommend infrastructural and technological improvements to enhance plant productivity and align with company objectives. 
• Prepare and present performance reports to management, highlighting key operational metrics, improvement areas, and compliance status.

Requirements:

• A UGC recognised B.Sc. Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification in a related field. 
• A Master's degree would be an added advantage. 
• Minimum 8 years of experience in plant operations, including at least 4 years in a managerial role, preferably within oil & gas or industrial manufacturing, with candidates not exceeding 45 years of age. 
• Proven ability to manage and optimize industrial processes, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. 
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and motivating a diverse workforce. 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple functions. 
• Additional qualifications or certifications in process safety or Quality Management Systems will be an added advantage.
