The Role:

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end import process, ensuring all new orders receive timely approvals.
• Oversee order processing activities and verify all shipping documentation for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with freight service providers to ensure efficient shipment clearance and resolve any logistical bottlenecks.
• Handle TT payments and LC applications, submit relevant documents to the bank, and promptly share TT SWIFT details and LC copies with suppliers.
• Review and request LC amendments through the bank and ensure amended copies are communicated to suppliers without delay.
• Liaise with banks to monitor and follow up on Usance LC payments, ensuring timely settlement of all dues.
• Work closely with Finance and Costing departments to obtain debit advice and ensure cost accuracy in the import process.
• Continuously monitor LC and TT expiry dates, take immediate corrective actions, verify with the order plan, and update the Brand Team for necessary follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements.

The Person:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in Imports, Shipping, Logistics, or Supply Chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of LC (Letter of Credit) procedures, TT payments, shipping documentation, and international trade regulations.
• Experience in coordinating with banks, finance departments, freight forwarders, and suppliers.
• Excellent understanding of customs clearance procedures and import operational workflows.
