Job Role (Tasks & Responsibilities):

• Creating seasonal collection targeting main brands and product categories
• Garment designing relevant to material innovation
• Contribute to the mood board creation and material storytelling for internal and external presentations
• Help with the coordination of material testing and analysis processes
• Provide support in trend research and competitor benchmarking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and innovation teams, to align material selections with product needs
• Contribute to innovation projects by assisting in problem definition, solution development, connecting with tech partners, prototyping, and presenting ideas to customers.

Educational / Professional Qualifications & Specific Competencies / Technical Skills Required:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, or a related field
• Experience in fashion design, including participation in fashion shows or related events, is an advantage
• Prior work experience in a relevant field is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of fabric properties, textures, and materials
• Knowledge of garment construction and pattern-making fundamentals
• Ability to translate design concepts into material solutions and garment designs
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CLO3D for digital visualization
• Research and trend analysis skills in textile innovation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings effectively
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Prior coursework or projects related to fabric/material development
• Experience in creating design catalogues, brochures, mood boards, etc.
• Any prior internships or work experience in a fashion brand, textile manufacturer, or R&D team is a plus
