We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for an Assistant Manager - Taxation & Financial Reporting for a leading MNC based in Colombo. This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical expertise in taxation, accounting, and reporting, and who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including computation, filing, and payment.
Handle all taxation-related correspondence and liaise directly with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Support the year-end audit process, ensuring timely submission of schedules and responses to auditors.
Strengthen and monitor internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist in management reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
Provide advisory support on tax implications for business decisions and transactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in taxation, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, or auditing.
Prior hands-on taxation experience and exposure to IRD interactions are essential.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Full professional qualification in Chartered Accountancy (CA Sri Lanka or equivalent).
Certification in taxation will be considered a significant advantage.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
