Deputy General Manager – HDFC Bank Colombo 02

Job Profile: 

• Overall supervision of the Finance Division and Back Office functions of the Treasury Department. 
• Ensure all the transactions of the Bank are properly accounted, duly complying with applicable accounting standards and other regulatory requirements such as CBSL, CSE, internal policies and procedures etc. 
• Provide technical finance expertise, guidance and develop relevant policies, procedures and review them periodically. 
• Building and maintaining sound rapport with the stakeholders and overseeing the tax-related functions and liaison with the Department of Inland Revenue, and making sure all statutory payments are made in time. 
• Preparation of the Budget/Action Plan/Strategic Business Plan and submission for the approval of the Board of Directors, and monthly follow up should be conducted. 
• Managing cost, driving profitability, ensuring viability through risk management and capital planning and promoting sustainability by long-term financial planning and ESG integration. 
• Providing all information required to external parties and the Management in a timely manner. 
• Preparation of the Annual Report and publishing of Financial Statements as per the statutory requirements. 
• Assist in formulating the Bank's future development and tactical initiatives. 
• Develop performance measures that support the Bank's strategic direction.

Candidate's prerequisites: 

• A full professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional Accounting body. (e.g. CA, ACCA & CIMA)

Added qualifications: 

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking 
• Master's in Banking, Business Management, Finance or any other relevant discipline obtained from a local or foreign university recognized by the UGC.
• Should have worked as a "Key Management Person" 

With 

• The candidate should have post-qualifying experience of 05 years, out of which 03 years should be in the Senior Executive Management level in a Bank or Licensed Finance Company.

Age Limit:

Between 35 years to 55 years as at the closing date of applications
