Housing Development Finance Corporation Bank of Sri Lanka PLC is a specialized bank that began as a building society in 1984. Its primary mission is to promote sustainable housing and improve living standards by providing financial solutions for home ownership and financial stability. In 2011, the bank expanded its offerings to include products for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), education loans, and wealth creation. The government of Sri Lanka is the majority shareholder, holding 51% of the stock.
