We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Inventory & Stores Manager to oversee all inventory and storekeeping operations across our group of companies. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for developing and implementing inventory management policies, supervising a team of storekeepers, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role is critical to our supply chain and will be a key liaison between various business units and senior leadership.

Prerequisites:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar inventory management or stores manager leadership position.
• Proven track record of managing a team and implementing effective inventory control systems.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency across all group entities.
• Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement measures to minimize losses, damage, and obsolescence.
• Analyze inventory data to forecast needs, optimize stock levels, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Manage the group's inventory management system, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Supervise and lead a team of individual storekeepers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all storage facilities are organized, clean, and comply with safety regulations.
• Streamline receiving, storage, and distribution processes to improve workflow and turnaround times.
• Prepare and present regular inventory reports, including stock levels, variances, and performance metrics, to the directors of each company.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all inventory and storekeeping matters, reporting directly to the relevant Director on the overall group performance.
