Applications are called from Sri Lankan citizens to fill the above-mentioned vacancy existing at the National Transport Commission, which was established by the National Transport Commission Act. No. 37 of 1991.

Required Qualifications:

External 

• Should have been sworn in as an Attorney at Law in the Supreme Court & having acquired no less than three years (03) of active professional experience thereafter

Internal 

• Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates mentioned above. 
• Completion of a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in a post in the Assistant Legal Officer (JM) Category, in the subject area relevant to the post.

Remuneration: 

Permanent Post - MM 1.1-91,690-10x2,480-15x3,450-168,240 (Basic Salary for the year 2025 is Rs. 71,730) 

In addition to the cost of living, Professional allowance and other allowances approved by the Government will be paid. 

General Conditions:

• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• The applicant should adhere to the official language policy, enacted by the Government.
• Candidates from Government Departments or Statutory bodies should forward their applications through their respective heads of Department/ Institutions.
• Recruitments will be made based on the performance of the applicants at the interview held.
• Commission will contribute 15% of the salary to EPF (Employees Provident Fund), and employees should contribute 10% to EPF, and Commission will contribute 3% to ETF (Employees Trust Fund), of the Salary.

Age Limit:

should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
