We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for an Assistant Manager – International Sales & Business Development for a leading FMCG/Agri company based in Colombo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with international buyers, distributors, and importers.
- Identify new business opportunities in global markets.
- Handle export documentation, compliance, and coordination with logistics partners.
- Assist in preparing sales strategies, forecasts, and market expansion plans.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with international clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business delegations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, quality, logistics) to ensure timely and smooth order execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in international sales, preferably in agri-commodities or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of export procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
