Tech Lead - Investments

Experience & Education Requirements:

• Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in banking/financial services (experience in investments strongly preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in software development using C#, .NET, and SQL Server technologies.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, etc.).
• Experience in requirements analysis, process improvement, and systems integration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the development team.
• Define user stories, tasks, and timelines aligned with project goals and sprint objectives.
• Conduct daily stand-ups to ensure team alignment and progress visibility.
• Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a positive team culture.
• Identify performance issues and work with HR/Head of Software for resolution.
• Contribute to recruitment by participating in interviews and assessments.

Technical Delivery & Quality Assurance

• Lead the delivery of software projects, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Maintain high coding standards through reviews, Sonar Cloud quality gates, and best practices.
• Own end-to-end delivery and monitoring of solutions, including dashboards, KPIs, and proactive alerting.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects to design, build, and integrate applications.
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve technical/application issues.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process and technical improvements.

Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with the Product Manager and Business Analysts to capture and document requirements.
• Refine and optimise integrations between applications.
• Prepare documentation and communicate rationale for design/implementation decisions to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Encourage innovation, experimentation, and growth within the team.
