Role Description:

As an Associate QA Engineer in our company, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in test planning activities, including the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute test cases to verify software functionality, usability, performance, and security.
• Document and report defects or issues found during testing, ensuring their accurate tracking and resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
• Identify areas of the testing process that can be automated and collaborate with the QA team to implement automation solutions.
• Execute and analyze automated test results, identify failures, and report them to the development team.
• Utilize defect tracking tools to log, manage, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate, reproduce, and prioritize defects.
• Verify defect fixes and ensure their successful resolution by conducting retests.
• Collaborate with the QA team to set up and configure test environments, ensuring they are representative of production environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain necessary hardware and software components required for testing.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Document and communicate testing processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Review and update test documentation to reflect changes in software functionality or requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Participate in meetings, provide input, and share insights related to software quality assurance.
• Communicate testing progress, findings, and test results to relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance.
• Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
