We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Habarana Village by Cinnamon. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner, with a portfolio of 17 Hotels and Resorts in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives. About the Role:

The Sous Chef will ensure the efficiency of the kitchen, cost-effective operation, and profitability of food preparation while meeting quality standards and enhancing customer satisfaction. The position entails assisting in all phases of planning, creating menus, ordering, inventory, and food preparation. You will ensure the food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve on time. You are expected to inspect and supervise all preparation and cooking equipment regularly to ensure that they are kept clean and in perfect condition to operate, and ensure the kitchen staff is trained in the best cleanliness and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in all phases of planning, creating menus, ordering, inventory, and food preparation.
• Ensure the food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve on time.
• Inspect and supervise all preparation and cooking equipment regularly.
• Ensure that the kitchen staff is trained in the best cleanliness and sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

• '5-7 years of experience in a culinary leadership role.
• Cooking experience in a fine dining environment.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to embrace new ideas and processes.
• Adaptability to change.
