Software Developer – Information Technology Resource Development Authority Colombo 10.

Applications are hereby called from the citizens of Permanently residence in Western Province of Sri Lanka, who have possessed qualifications, for the following posts in Western Provincial Information Technology Resources Development Authority.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Should have possessed a Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology Science recognized by the University Grants Commission and professional experience of 02 years in the computer field 

                  or 

• Should have possessed a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology or Information Technology Science recognized by the University Grants Commission along with a Degree with Computer Science/ Information Technology Science and a professional experience of 02 years in computer field

                  or 

• Should have possessed a professional experience of 03 years in the computer field along with at least Level 07 of National Vocational Qualification on Information Technology or other equivalent qualification recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

Salary Scale:

• Salary Code:- MA4-2025 Salary Scale :- Initial salary step - 2025.04.01 Rs. 52,875/- + cost of living allowance (Rs. 64,320/- - 10* 1360/-- 15 * 1670/--5* 2040/-- 113,170/- Management Service Circular No. - 01/2025)

Age Limit: 

• Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age. 
• However, the maximum age limit will not be applicable to the internal applicants.

Method of Recruitment:

Selection will be made by a structured Interview.

Nature of the Appointment:

• This is a permanent appointment and the selected officer is entitled to the benefits of Employees' Provident Fund and Employees'Trust Fund.

   

Every Candidate:

• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
• Should have the mental and physical fitness to perform the duties entrusted to the post properly
• Should be a permanent resident of the Western Province. Further, the applicant should prove the residence within Western Province for a period of 03 years as at the closing date of the application. 
• Should be with excellent moral character.

Method of Applications:

• Applications should be sent by registered post along with copies of relevant certificates to reach before 30.07.2025 and the post applied for should be written on the top left corner of the envelope that contains the application. Applications which are sent without copies of relevant educational /professional qualifications will be rejected without any notice.
• Applicants who are already serving in Government Departments, Statutory Boards or State Corporations should submit their applications through the respective Heads of Institutions. The Head of Institution should have certified that the applicant will be released from the service within a month, if he/she is selected to the post.
• Further, the applicants who have applied under (a) with qualifications other than the NVQ 05 above should submit a letter issued by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission to the effect that the other qualifications mentioned by the applicant are equivalent to the Level 05 of NVQ

• The Information Technology Resource Development Authority reserves the right to reject applications which are submitted without attaching the documents prescribed in i, ii and iii above and to take the final decision on the selection of qualified applicants.
