Job Description and Requirements

Looking for a highly skilled infrastructure engineer who can design, deploy, improve, and automate global IT infrastructure and application solutions in both on-prem data centers and cloud to meet the requirements of 20,000 internal customers, and collaborate with IT partner teams to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure services and observability solutions helping to boost productivity, stability, performance and reliability of our infrastructure. Responsibilities:
 

• Design, develop and implement automation workflows using orchestration platforms to facilitate enterprise IT infrastructure self-service, including provisioning, configuration, and deployment of services and applications across both on-prem and cloud including AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable and efficient self-service and observability solutions tailored to meet the needs of diverse engineering, applications, and infrastructure services.
• Build and maintain a robust and secure infrastructure-as-code framework and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines that support automated deployments, monitoring, scaling, and recovery of infrastructure services and applications.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of the orchestration platforms and explore solutions for continuous improvements. Respond to mission-critical service issues to triage and resolve complex problems and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
• Work with team members, cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide world-class infrastructure services with high scalability, availability, and security. Completes projects as required with quality.

 
Requirements:

• Fully proficient with Python programming with knowledge of PowerShell and/or bash scripting for automation and data manipulation
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of related experience.
• Proven experience as a system engineer or similar role with a focus on designing and managing orchestration platforms and observability solutions for enterprise-scale infrastructure.
• Exceptional knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, including automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management tools, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform or equivalent technologies. Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Experience in practicing infrastructure as code. Solid knowledge of Linux/Windows configuration management, web application stack, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to create documentation for spec, design and standard operation procedures.
• Excellent systematic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a global IT team environment.
• Proven time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines
