Description
- Support shipment coordination with Consolidators/ Carries and vendors for Ocean transport planning.
- Support shipment coordination with Forwarders and vendors for Air transport planning.
- Support order coordination with CFT Teams (leaders and peers) and manage exceptional shipment approvals.
- Allocation of orders to respective Air & Ocean forwarders/ carriers and monitor capacity & equipment requirements.
- Support forecasting and projections of volume data to Air & Ocean forwarders and monitor changes.
- Monitoring and managing special shipments/ routes as identified by CFT and broader logistics teams.
- Providing origin market updates/ communicate potential origin issues to US & Regional logistics and CFT teams with recommendations for alternate solutions.
- Analyze shipping market changes and propose new opportunities to US & Regional logistics leadership.
- Conduct Vendor onboarding for new vendors on SOP/ educate vendors on special projects/ programs.
- Onboard new Forwarders on origin functions, SOP/ educate forwarders on special projects/ programs.
- Periodic review of vendor KPI results/ improvements & monitor container utilization/ charge back on factory loads.
- Monitor Ocean carriers/ Air forwarders’ transit performance and drive improvements.
- Prepare required monthly and weekly reports to US & Regional logistics teams.
- Support RM transportation transit/ cost optimization and other ad hoc regional supply chain development projects.
- Establish a robust network of local logistics service providers.

As required, transfer knowledge to and training peers or subordinates on origin logistics functions.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualifications with 5-6 years’ experience in the logistics field (Preferably with experience handling Exports to US, Europe and China).
- Good working knowledge in MS Office 365 & SAP. Hands-on knowledge in Oracle TMS is an advantage.
- Must be prepared to travel and work in other regions.
- Proven track record in handling and coordinating ocean cum air export shipments/ logistics.
- Superior problem-solving skills and result oriented.
- Effective communication skills, in spoken and written English.
- Fluency in speaking the local language in the regions entrusted is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines without day-to-day directions.
- Proven time management skills, detail-oriented and thorough.
- Familiar with Indian Sub-Continent/ Western working cultures and business practices.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with other functions to resolve problems and develop solutions timely.
- Ability to handle projects individually.
- Organized and focused on planning and preparation, yet willing to take calculated chances where necessary.
