Junior Associate - Finance Operations - MAS Legato Malabe

MAS Legato is the Shared Services arm of MAS Holdings, focused on offering Finance and HR services across the organization. The time and operational efficiencies created through a shared services platform make MAS Legato a critical component of MAS as a future-ready organization. 

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to execute debt recovery within the set credit period of all SBUs under purview, ensure identification of discrepancies for delayed receipts, and drive the corrective actions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out credit payable activities and ensure proper mechanisms are put in place to settle money within the set credit period.
• Achieve monthly targets for Goods Receipt or Invoice Receipt and advances in assigned SBUs in order to meet organizational demands.
• Execute recovery activities and ensure proper follow-up mechanisms are put in place to recover money within the set credit period. 
• Ensure discrepancies are followed up on and resolved prior to the month-end closure. Maintain proper documentation of follow-up efforts.
• Ensure receipts are cleared in keeping with the SLA while ensuring the SOPs are kept up to date.
• Active involvement in knowledge-sharing initiatives within the department.
• Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within the department, whilst suggesting and implementing the same.
• Support team with audit requirements and ensure they are fulfilled to meet business demands.
• Provide necessary management information reports for decision-making.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

• Degree or Diploma in Finance or Financial Accounting or Economics or CIMA, ACCA, or ICASL or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6 months of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis would be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
