Scope

The Factory Accountant acts as the controller of factory finance, which includes preparing and monitoring the annual factory budget (planned vs actuals) as well as managing overheads of the factory. The role holder also collaborates with cross-functional teams for undertaking value creation initiatives in the factory. Ensuring effectiveness of internal controls and governance including audit of FCA is critical to the role holder.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation of the plant budget and monitoring adherence to the same.
Responsible for managing factory overheads, including monitoring target vs actuals (monthly/ quarterly) and suggesting corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for value creation projects (cost optimization, productivity improvement, SWORD, etc.)
Ensure governance and adherence to internal control systems in the factory, prepare MIS and other reports for management.
Develop CAPEX proposals for plant projects (e.g., expansion, maintenance), including financial feasibility analysis and follow-up for approvals.
Incorporate inputs from SBU/Corporate into the plant budget and secure sign-off from relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Chartered Institute Of Management Accountants (CIMA) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/ Financial/ Business Management
3 to 4+ years of relevant experience with a strong knowledge of financial budgeting, overhead management and financial accounting
Sound understanding of factory operational processes
