Procurement Executive
Job Role
The individual will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Liaising with key stakeholders to determine their products and services
- Monitor business trends and product availability in order to get the best price for the company without
- compromising on quality and delivery times
- Supplier development -Identify and source potential new suppliers
- Research new products and services
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing and maintaining stock levels
- Monitor stocks on regular basis, raise purchase orders basis re-order levels
- Handle and monitor monthly stock takes
- Oversee the procurement department
- Supplier evaluation and management
Here's what we are looking
- Must have good communication & customer service skills
- Recognized Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in management, logistics, supply chain management
- Professional qualification in supplier change management is an added advantage
- Minimum three years' work experience in a similar capacity
- Good negotiator and clear understanding of supply chain management procedures
- Fluency in English and Sinhala and good written communication skills.
- Pleasant and energetic personality with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be a great team player and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Sound IT literacy inclusive of Internet, Email, ERP and MS Office packages.
