We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our team looking for an opportunity to transition into a Head of IT role.
To be successful you should have in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends within IT and be willing to take a serious approach to security and data management. The ideal candidate will help store, evaluate and apply data strategies to our daily operations to improve company development.
This role will report directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop goals & strategies to ensure our IT runs effectively
Managing the daily operation & implementation of the IT security strategy
Running security audits & assessments of current IT security practices & systems and identifying areas for improvement
Delivering the latest technology sector approaches & implementing next-gen solutions
Ensuring compliance & governance is met
Protecting the organisations’ intellectual property at all times
Plan & direct implementation of new systems
Project lead & build out new technology projects within the organisation
Troubleshoot IT related issues and establish regular maintenance
Developing & implementing business continuity & disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal disruption when a change occurs
Developing & implementing solutions to minimise the risk of cyber attacks
Develop & implement policies & procedures within IT for the organisation
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar (Masters degree preferred)
Proven experience in a similar role
Experience in information technology and data management
Excellent knowledge of on-premise and cloud environments
Excellent knowledge of data management within cloud environments
Experience handling network & system security
Excellent IT and data security knowledge & experience
Negotiation and vendor management skills
Flexible & adaptable, highly organised and timeline driven
Ability to multi task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
