Head Coach — Sri Lanka Cricket Colombo

(UNDER 19 MEN'S CRICKET TEAM)

We are looking for a leader who inspires and motivates, driving the team toward success while upholding the highest standards of integrity. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of cricket and leave a lasting legacy on the sport at a National level.

Main Job Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver the U1? team’s practice and match programs under the direction of the High performance Manager

Undertake one-on-one coaching of players in the Sri Lanka Cricket Player Pathway

Travel with the U1? team on designated home and away tours

Observe Sri Lanka Cricket U19 players in competitions whenever possible

Provide written feedback on team and Individual performances

Collaborate with Sri Lanka Cricket High Performance staff and assist in selecting players for various programmes

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Level 2 or higher Coaching Qualification

• Age 50 years or below

• Experience working with U1? teams and below (both local and international)

• Having played International or First-Class Cricket is an added advantage

• Willingness to spend time coaching at all levels of the Sri Lanka Cricket Player Pathway

• Exceptional planning, coordination, and organizational skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• High-level interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and influencing skills

• Compulsory knowledge and expertise in technology in the modern game

• Strong work ethic is essential

In addition to working within the team environment, the U19 Team Head Coach should be prepared to work independently and irregular hours. If you are a team player with the drive and initiative to perform with minimum supervision and willingness to work in a team oriented environment, you could be the person we are looking for.
