Electrical Superintendent – Ceylon Electricity Board

Qualification and Experience:

• Obtained the National Diploma in Technology of the University of Moratuwa OR 
• National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) – Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), Katunayake 

OR 

• Diploma in Technology – The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) 

  OR 

• Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) – Mattakkuliya & Labuduwa 

  OR 

• National Certificate in Technology conducted by NCT with 05 years post-qualifying experience in a Technician grade

Method of selection:

• Applicants who have fulfilled the requirements will be called for a written competitive examination. 
• Based on the results of the above-mentioned written competitive examination, eligible candidates will be called for an interview. Interviews will be held to scrutinize the certificates and to check the physical condition of the candidates.

Place of Work: 

• Ceylon Electricity Board reserves the right to post the Electrical Superintendent recruited to any location/s in the country decided by the CEB. 
• Selected applicants will only be recruited if they in writing, agree to accept the post at the location decided by the CEB.

Age Limit:

• Applicants should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age at the closing date of applications. 
• This age limit will not be applicable to those who are in State service/Statutory Boards, including CEB /Corporations, and they are required to upload a letter from the respective Heads of Institutions indicating he/she could be released if selected. Please refer to No. 8 & Note below.

Salary Scale:

• 107,115/- 05 x 1,945 + 10 x 2,080/- 137,640/- (EL2) Applicable salary is the initial step of the above scale.

Other Benefits: 

• Those who are selected will be entitled to Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) with Employees’ Contribution of 10% and CEB Contribution of 15%. 
• Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) Contribution of 3% by the CEB. 
• Other benefits applicable to CEB permanent employees.
