About the Role:
The aim of this role is to analyze and configure application / infrastructure / network performance monitoring and provide visibility for teams to proactively prevent and resolve issues that may impact business continuity, also to provide reactive support for issues of mission critical environment using monitoring tools stack. Engage application and technology owners on findings and provide insight into the end user experience metrics derived by the tools, make recommendations where appropriate/required. Adhere to DevOps/SRE practices across a set of tools associated with monitoring Datacenter & Cloud environments and applications with the limitless technology variations.
How you will make an impact:
- Understand the Wiley PagerDuty platform and gain proficiency in day-to-day requests.
- Act as the first point contact for issues reported by users, escalate customer issues and complaint internally as required
- Diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users
- Use PagerDuty APIs to build operational reports on demand
- Support user onboarding by helping set up PagerDuty artifacts such as notification settings, schedules, escalation policies, extensions, etc.
- Administration and instrumentation of Application Performance Monitoring and Management (APM) tools such as Dynatrace, Zabbix, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus and Cortex.
- Creation of dashboards and reports as well as provide deep-dive and root cause analysis on Performance issues.
- Build and administrate Kubernetes clusters and automate the deployments of components using Flux, GitHub, Helm Charts etc.
- Deploy, configure and maintain Prometheus/Cortex.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline for monitoring requirements.
- Architect and develop monitoring infrastructure platforms.
- Help with design and implementation of infrastructure assets using AWS services, Terraform.
- Research of automation related technologies.

What we look for:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Strong experience with Linux administration, troubleshooting and scripting
- Solid knowledge on Dynatrace and Zabbix
- Understanding of networking concepts and network protocols
- Exiting experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, EKS)
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and technical appreciation skills.
- Experience in the administration and performance tuning of web application stacks (e.g. Apache, Nginx, MariaDB)
- Good knowledge and experience of Git
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Prometheus, Cortex and Grafana
- Knowledge on ELK / ECK (nice to have)
- Knowledge on PagerDuty will be an added advantage
- Fluency in English is highly desired along with able to work well with culturally diverse various technical groups
