Job Duties

• Reviewing the Credit Applications and Approving / Recommending for registration of such customers along with the credit limits and periods for them
• Credit Controller should carryout Annual Review of the registered customers evaluating the financial position, credit limits and periods granted in each anniversary of registration to ensure that their status are reviewed based on the latest available information. A similar framework as defined in 1) above may be used though not to the extent as required in the initial registration process. However, evaluating latest financial statements etc. in detail will eb required. Further any adjustment required to the credit period or limit granted may be considered based on the latest position
• If there is any request for increase in credit limit or for an extended credit period, the above process should be carried out using the latest available information to assess the reasonability in granting such request and such request needs to be recommended/ approved by the Credit Controller
• If the applicant does not qualify for the requested credit limits and periods during the above process, the other alternative processes needs to be assessed. 
• Regularly monitoring the debtors Age Analysis and taking necessary steps to ensure that all the amounts due from the debtors are collected within the approved credit period to them.
• Credit Controller should approve / recommend all the P/Os more than LKR .,,,,,,,,,,,, in value , received for Credit Sales from the Customers before processing the same as a Credit Sale. However, before reaching the Credit Controller such approvals/authorizations required from the responsible operational staff etc. needs to be obtained. Credit Controller should ensure that such P/Os will keep the Customer within the approved credit limits and he doesn’t have any unacceptable overdues etc. 
• Credit Controller should take immediate action/ recommend stopping any further supplies to any default customers, unless otherwise decide by the Promoter Directors. Credit Controller should inform this to all the responsible officer of the Company with copy to the Directors
• Taking necessary actions to recover any long dues from debtors. 
• Credit Controller should recommend/approve all the Credit Notes. In the process he should identify any key issues, if any, which leads to raise credit notes and should bring to the attention of the Directors / Management immediately. Among other things, it should note, whether there is any correlation between high credit notes with certain Customers or relevant Account Managers of the Company
• Credit Controller should develop / review (If can be generated from the System) Debtors Dash- board. 
• Credit Controller must submit a detail report on Debtors / Credit Sales etc. 
• Credit Controller should continuously review and introduce systems and procedures to strengthen the internal controls in the credit sales function
• Providing guidance and training required by the operations team
• Providing information required by the operational staff to effectively control the credit given to the Customers. This may include but not limited to frequent O/S reports to the relevant responsible Account Managers
• Any other duties assigned by the Management

 
Requirements 

• Part Qualified (Minimum Intermediate Level) in ICASL/CIMA or ACCA or fully qualified in AAT or equivalent
• Minimum of 05 years of experience of which at least two to three years of Audit (External or Internal) experience
• Very good analytical and/or numerical skills 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
