About the Role:
Seeking an experienced Network Engineer to maintain and support the overall logical and technical architecture of Wiley’s Cloud, Office, and WAN (Wide Area Networks) networks and related capabilities in line with the overall infrastructure roadmaps that are maintained by Enterprise Architecture. You will follow the existing standards and maintain the design plans for the overall logical and technical architecture components. This individual will provide technical support through addressing incidents and requests in supporting the support business functions across all Wiley Wide and Local Area Network technologies.
How you will make an impact:
- Document and maintain the current and future state technologies for Cloud, WAN, LAN, and Wireless capabilities.
- Develop and manage a domain roadmap and lifecycle plan in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture
- Develop, document, maintain, communicate, and enforce security infrastructure technology policy and standards.
- Continuously assess various emerging technologies to drive improvements in overall enterprise infrastructure performance, scalability, and robustness
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Corporate Services teams to execute on projects and maintain the infrastructure aspects of our internal/external network solutions.
- Work with various service providers to deliver these capabilities and maintain network infrastructure components according to specifications and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Drive reusable capabilities into the solution definitions and sunset legacy, end of life technologies.
- Work with EA to ensure that the WAN, LAN, and Wireless services are clearly articulated for consumption by the solution architects, aligned with use cases, etc.

Ensure that all services are operating according to specifications, technical, functional, and non-functional.
What we look for:
- Mid-level experience with Data Center/Networking/Security technologies, SD-WAN, Load Balancer, Firewall and DNS implementation, and support
- 7+ years of experience working on enterprise-wide LAN, WAN, Wireless, virtual networks, etc. or significant related experience.
- Hands on experience required with AWS, Azure, and/or other cloud providers a plus.
- Experience with automation and intent-based networking a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Technical knowledge across the various layers of the network
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Enthusiastic to learn and keep abreast of the latest technologies, willing to adopt best practices.
