The Job Role:
An opportunity exists for an energetic personality in the Front Office of the investment division to participate in sound portfolio management to assist in managing a long-term fund.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Manage assets under different funds according to the investment policy statement.
- Monitoring, managing and executing decisions taken by the fund manager to deploy excess cash flows on a daily basis.
- Preparation of investment performance reports, valuation reports and unit pricing computation.
- Analyze and assess market and economic trends, financial statements and other indicators which will help decision making and investment strategy formulation.
- Network with fund managers and various other stakeholders.
- Build various financial models relevant for valuation and other internal requirements and to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (Specialized in Finance or related field will be preferred) and fully/ partly qualified in related professional qualification (CFA/CIMA etc).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Fund Management, Capital Markets, investment operations
- Impeccable attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, numerical and report writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel and other analytical tools.
- Hands on experience in SAP will be an added advantage.
