Programme Structure
To complete the Foundation Year, you must pass a minimum of eight units. Each subject is taught as two units, for example, Unit 1 English; Unit 2 English.

Each format has a different combination of units. The unit combination may look like;

  • Unit 1 & 2 English (compulsory)
  • Unit 1 & 2 of at least two other subjects (comprehensive)
  • Two additional units (free choice/elective)

If you choose to study up to two additional units as part of your Standard program, you may be eligible for bonus points.

Diploma of Engineering Course - Monash College

A Monash College Diploma is a specialist program that provides students with a direct pathway into first or second year at Monash University.
Monash University academic staff helped to develop the Diploma program so you will be prepared for university. During Part 2, you study the same curriculum and assessments as first-year university students. After successfully completing Part 2 and meeting faculty entry requirements, you will be accepted for entry into the second year of a relevant Monash degree.
Understanding the Course Structure
Part 2 is for students who have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent. After successfully completing Part 2 and meeting faculty entry requirements, you will be accepted for entry into the second year of a relevant Monash degree. To receive your Diploma certificate, you must successfully complete Part 2.
