The National Diploma in Hospitality Management offered by SLITHM is a 3 year program spreading across six semesters. Any provider of such tourist guide service is defined as a tourist guide lecturer and is considered to be carrying on the business or functions or performing the service of a tourist guide lecturer.
A national tourist guide lecturer is a person who is duly registered as a national tourist guide lecturer and is therby authorized by Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority to practice as a tourist guide lecturer anywhere within the island of Sri Lanka.
