Leading to the IATA/ FIATA Introductory Course Diploma, the IATA/ FIATA Introductory Course is one of the requirements for accreditation as an IATA Cargo Agent. The introductory course takes into account a number of changes in the air cargo industry and the evolution of the industry towards the adoption of the Montreal Protocol.

After completing the course, you will be benefited with the knowledge & skills to;

• Make appropriate arrangements and reservations for international air cargo shipments
• Calculate correct rates and charges for general cargo and special cargo (specific commodity and class rates)

Entry Requirement

The BEng (Hons) Manufacturing Engineering degree, awarded by Coventry University, is designed for students to be able to optimize their degree according to future aspirations. The focus for Manufacturing Engineering is to apply appropriate knowledge and analytical techniques to the solution of a broad range of logistics-related tasks across the industry.
There is a strong emphasis on the use of professional and innovative working practices, with an awareness of fundamental theoretical and analytical approaches. Key is the continued access to industry (and research) standard apparatus and software.

The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology focus on the broadest areas of engineering that describes the applications of engineering in analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems.

This is an introductory course for aviation enthusiasts as well as young, budding pilots. It is a four-day course designed for the early beginner. The course is designed and presented by professional aviators, and course subjects include the theory of flight, meteorology, and general knowledge about the aircraft.

You also obtain an opportunity to visit the Air Force Museum at the Ratmalana Air Force Base, the Area Control Centre in Ratmalana, and physically inspect the inside and outside of an aircraft at Skyline's Training and Engineering Facility at Katukurunda.

This course can be followed by children from the age of 7 years and upwards, through to aviation enthusiasts of any age and will be held by the academy three times per year - mainly during school vacation periods in April, August, and December.
