Systems Engineer – Sri Lankan Airlines

SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline's IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modelling, business intelligence, and business continuity. The focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach, and improving customer experience through solutions design, development, and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge. The award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Systems Engineer.

The individual is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the standard desktop from a non-IT customer's perspective. This includes planning and executing the delivery of the customer interface aspects, such as the roll-out, by effectively communicating with the customer to ensure a smooth implementation.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration and upgrade of databases in the organization when needed.
• Daily Administration, monitoring and maintenance of databases in the organization to ensure smoother operations of application systems.
• Evaluate Hardware & Software applications when new changes are implemented.
• Provide technical assistance to internal customers to solve day-to-day system-related issues.
• Interact with service providers regularly to ensure they provide timely, accurate assistance.
• Communicating and coordinating with other technical teams on a daily basis to troubleshoot IT-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree   in relevant field from a recognized University with the minimum of 01 year post-qualifying Relevant Experience (" Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics.)

OR

• Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 7 with 3 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline.
