Credit Officer (Old Moor Street Branch) – Cargills Bank Colombo 03

Job Responsibilities:

• Meet new customers and provide financial solutions to their requirements (new customer acquisition) 

• Assist the branch manager in achieving annual budgeted credit targets and growth assigned to the branch 

• Prepare credit proposals inclusive of financial analysis, operating analysis, risk analysis, and other requirements of the bank 

• Liaise with the credit approving authority of the Bank to obtain timely approvals

• Join the Branch Manager /Relationship Manager on client visits /meetings 

• Perform periodic reviews of the revolving & other credit facilities on a timely basis 

• Monitor the branch credit portfolio & provide solutions to customers with difficulties in repayment terms

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of banking experience, of which 3 years should be in a credit-related role 

• Full or Part qualification in Banking, Credit Management or International Trade would be an added advantage 

• Trilingual communication skills are preferred 

• Good analytical skills, including the ability to understand and interpret financial statements 

• Flair for Marketing with an outgoing personality 

• Excellent interpersonal skills
