Job Description
At IFS we want to make every customer an advocate through world-class service.
As the Oracle DBA you will join the Infrastructure Services team within the R&D group at IFS where you will be working with various teams to assist in improving, and developing the performance and quality of the products that bringing to market.

This role has some specific regular tasks but also has many ad hoc tasks.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Support internal and external customers by resolving issues logged via our case management tool.
Work independently using experience, professional concepts, and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Be active with the IFS Community answering questions related to the technology of the IFS suite.
Stay current on knowledge of new IFS functionality and technology in area of expertise
Assist in mentoring other team members, building their skills in the IFS software, and familiarity with internal tools and procedures.
Performant: any bottlenecks that negatively impact database performance must be identified, escalated, andresolved.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Typically 5years of experience in DBA with Oracle versions ranging from 12C to the latest
- Sound knowledge in PL/SQL
- Hands-on experience in Oracle performance tuning and database patching
- Experience in implementing database security best practice
- Ensuring product performance and maintainability by adhering to IFS’ standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the IFS product suite a plus.
- Working experience on Kubernetes / Docker / Java / Azure / AWS will be advantageous.
- Ability to lead technical discussions while adhering to agile practices.
- Experience working with software installation/upgrading/patching procedures
- Experience with various operating systems such as Windows, Linux and UNIX
Other Experience
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good programming/scripting skills for database management and general software
- Good communication skills for providing documentation to support personnel, customers, and managers
- Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
- Ability to work in a team environment
