Senior Scientist (HM 1-1) – Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy

• Applications are invited from qualified persons for the under-mentioned employment category in the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy. 

Qualifications:

External:

• A Bachelor's Degree of Science or Agriculture from a recognized University by the U.G.C. and a postgraduate degree qualification (Master's) in the relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a Managerial Level in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment. 

OR

• A Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field and a minimum of five(05) years satisfactory service as a Senior Research Officer.

Internal:

• A degree in Science or Agriculture with an appropriate subject combination and a 02 years postgraduate research degree in the relevant field. 

AND 

• A Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and a minimum of four (04) years satisfactory service as a Senior Research Officer in the SLCARP. 

OR 

• Minimum of eight (08) years satisfactory service in a post of "Senior Research Officer" in the Senior Academic & Research Category.

Note: 

• Research publications relevant to the respective discipline will be an added qualification. 

Salary:

• Monthly Salary Scale of the employee category *HM 1-1-2025 Rs. [140,640 - 15 x 4,100 - Rs. 202,640] (Salary pay based on the Department of Management Services Circular 01/2025) 

Age: 

• Age should be not less than 35 years and not more than 50 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
