Auto Electrician – Lake House

The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL), popularly known as Lake House, is the hub of print media in Sri Lanka with a proud history of excellence. We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Auto Electrician to join our dynamic team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical Technology or a related field from a recognized institution. 
• A minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in a commercial fleet maintenance environment. 
• Sound knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques. 
• Experience working with modern vehicle diagnostic equipment and software. 
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. 
• A valid driving license (light/heavy vehicle category would be an added advantage).

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in company vehicles, including cars, vans, and other commercial vehicles. 
• Install, repair, and maintain vehicle wiring systems, lighting, alternators, starters, batteries, and other electrical components. 
• Perform scheduled electrical maintenance and safety inspections. 
• Operate diagnostic tools to identify and rectify issues in electronic control units (ECUs) and other onboard systems. 
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance work carried out. 
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
