Assistant Manager (Internal Audit) – Sri Lanka Cricket Colombo

Sri Lanka Cricket is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Internal Audit team as an Assistant Manager - Internal Audit. This is a unique opportunity to  contribute  to  the  governance  and  operational  excellence  of Sri Lanka Cricket.

  Main Job Responsibilities

•  Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the required areas within the organization.
• Review monthly financial statements and take necessary actions to address old outstanding balances.
• Monitor the progress of all grants provided to sports clubs and associations.
• Liaise with external auditors for the annual financial and operational audit.
• Coordinate with the Sports Ministry and other government bodies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.

  Required Qualifications & Experience

• Member, Passed Finalist, or Finalist of ICASL/ACCA
• A university degree in Accounting or Finance would be a definite advantage
• At least two years of experience in Internal Auditing or Government Auditing/Accounting.
• Passion for cricket and a strong understanding of the sports industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic sports environment.
• Independent work ethic with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
