Assistant Manager - Data Analytics (Battaramulla)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Capital team as Assistant Manager – Data Analytics to drive data analytics and governance functions of the Group Procurement initiatives.by performing end to end analytics including dashboard creation, price and supplier governance, liaising with the SBU teams on data collection, verifications, cleansing, creating digital tools through the use of Macros. & drive KPI tracking/ generating trends, lead data standardization projects and other digitalization & Automation projects from the Group Procurement Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data analytics functions for the group procurement team
analytics related reports to be created and shared with the category managers in a timely manner and oversee all areas related to data and analytics of the group procurement team.
- Monitor price and supplier governance for categories that have completed negotiations
For completed projects, validating through SAP reports whether the orders are placed at the correct prices to the correct vendors and highlighting any non-compliances to the category managers as well as to the SBU teams.
- Dashboard creation with KPI details of the Group Procurement Team and forecast trends
Creating dashboards to monitor the KPIs of the group procurement team and forecasting the KPIs on a monthly basis and highlighting deviations.
- Liaise with SBU finance, supply chain teams to collect, verify data related to KPIs
Once KPI data is obtained through SAP reports, validation of the details with the business unit teams on a monthly basis and reconciling any deviations.
- Lead data standardization, digitalization and automation projects on behalf of the Group Procurement
Will be the lead from the Group Procurement Team on projects related to data standardization and automation of material creation and other related areas.
- Maintain Time and Action plans (T&A) for projects, follow up with teams and report regularly.
Creating, maintaining and updating time and action plans for any projects that are being done in terms of data analytics and providing updates on a periodic basis and providing corrective action plans for any deviations.
- Release periodic reports on KPI achievement within the Group Procurement Team.
Monthly reporting to the group procurement team on the actual KPIs, forecasted KPIs and any deviations and conducting reconciliations.
- Perform detailed data analysis required to be done whilst obtaining data from SAP across MAS as well as approaching manual data from the SBU teams.
Perform data analytics activities by obtaining information from the SBUs, and suppliers. Need for detailed data studies and data analysis to identify opportunities for improvements.
Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Competencies:
- Should Possess a Bachelor’s and or a Master’s degree on Statistics / Mathematics
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience working in a similar role
- Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CMA is an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge on software such as Power Pivot, Power BI, SPSS
- Experience in creating macros through Python, R Language, C++, etc. would be an added advantage.
