Our journey commenced in 1980 when Gilbeys of London decided to establish its operations in Sri Lanka as Gilbeys Lanka Limited. Subsequently, the company was renamed ID Lanka Limited in 2004 after its controlling interest was acquired by East India Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. In January 2014, as part of a rebranding initiative and to better reflect our company's product offerings, the company was renamed International Distillers Limited (IDL) to what it's known today. Over the years, IDL has emerged as one of Sri Lanka's leading corporates and a manufacturer and importer of quality spirits.
