The Role Responsibilities - (12 months contract role)
Strategy
 

  • Needs to be able to work with key business and regional T&I stakeholders in delivering projects.
  • Needs to be able to understand the Risk of regulatory project delays or non-performance of regulatory projects.
  • Needs to be able to have a close track of project budget Vs actuals and call out any funding related issues that can impact the delivery of projects
  • Needs to be aware of the ways of working in a multi-national organisational environment.

Business
 

  • Awareness and understanding of running application related projects in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Be able to manage off-shore resources, negotiate and hold them accountable for project delivery milestones and timeline.
  • Having insights of what is happening in the industry and in technology in relation to best practices.
  • Getting acquainted with the SCB Group T&I standards in executing the technology projects

Processes
 

  • Responsible to lead the Technology projects especially in the area of Regulatory changes.
  • To work closely with the leads in the Country T&I team who own these projects and align with them on the project deliverables.
  • To be the custodian of the Regulatory Project delivery calendar and be responsible for the agreed scope, time and cost of the projects.
  • To be able to identify and independently work with all stakeholders necessary for a Project delivery including SCB group T&I and delivery teams and business end users.
  • To be able to identify risks and impediments to Projects pro-actively and work towards necessary solutions to resolve them.
  • To be responsible for all project related documentation and communications.
  • To be able to host and run the Project Steering Committee meetings and regular updates including any escalations needed.

People and Talent
 

  • Need to be self-motivated to self-learn SCB ways of working, new tools and technologies necessary to deliver the projects.
  • Need to work in close partnership with business stakeholders across the bank as well as regulators.
  • Need to be a passionate and results oriented individual.

Risk Management
 
Responsible in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling, communicating and mitigating risks in regulatory projects.
 
Governance
 
Responsible for the governance and oversight of the planned regulatory projects for 2021/2022
 
Regulatory & Business Conduct
 

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Technology or Business Information Systems
  • Any professional qualification, certification courses on IT Networking, Infrastructure or Application Development is preferred and will be an added advantage
