About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Lead – ServiceNow to join our exciting and rapidly expanding team in Sri Lanka. As a Technical Lead, you will provide consultation to the Service Management Development team and align the platform to business strategies and governance decisions. The position documents the platform, assesses the impact of new requirements, and provides controls to ensure that correct technical solutions are leveraged in the delivery of business solutions. Overall, the lead developer/administrator possesses advanced ServiceNow and PagerDuty knowledge and skills, as well as a deep understanding of the business strategy and policies that govern the ServiceNow platform.

How you will make an impact:

  • Design and develop new Service Management applications and services
  • Provide SNOW/PagerDuty SME knowledge and participate in implementing new service requirements
  • Take ownership of complex business requirements and work them to completion
  • Provide architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements
  • Create and maintain a detailed view of the service management architecture
  • Align ServiceNow/PagerDuty platform capabilities to established business strategies
  • Assist with estimating release level of effort
  • Contribute to releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery
  • Optimize stability and usability of service management systems through regular application maintenance
  • Assist with incident resolution
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement, such as combining similar solution needs
  • Contribute to governance processes
  • Lead the implementation of technical best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Mentor and guide team members
  • Stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies

What we look for:

  • A minimum of 5 years working as a ServiceNow/PagerDuty application developer/system administrator
  • Extensive experience with enterprise security and architecture, with knowledge of various authentication systems
  • Extensive experience in IT service management
  • Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow/PagerDuty administration and experience developing applications
  • Experience with database design schemas and data modeling
  • Strong experience in requirements-gathering
  • Experience with middleware and discovery technologies
  • Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications
  • Expert knowledge in JavaScript and Web Services development languages
  • Demonstrated experience in building solutions using Integration Hub, Custom REST API
  • Agile mindset with DevOps exposure
