To support our development activities, we are expanding our software development team and recruiting full-stack web development engineers in Sri Lanka. You will work with great people using best practices and an agile development process to design, test, and deliver powerful code every day.
How you will make an impact:
- As a member of the Software Development tribe, with teams in France and Brazil, you will be integrated into a multi-disciplinary development squad working in Agile – Scrum mode in a SAFe framework.
- Build new product features on existing products and brand-new experiences for our learners.
- Maintain, refactor, rework software code whenever identified as necessary by the software group and approved by the product team.
- Practice high-quality development methods: unit tests writing, code review, code standards, test automation, integration technical documentation.
- Actively contribute to Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily meetings, refinement meetings, retrospectives, PI Planning).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
We are looking for people who:
- Have a Master’s degree in computer sciences or equivalent, you are looking for an innovative company operating in a fast-growing business.
- You'd benefit from at least 2 - 4 years of work experience in software development frontend, backend technologies, and frameworks.
- Work in JavaScript framework (such as VueJS, React, Angular).
- Experience in backend frameworks (such as Django, Symfony, and/or others).
- Able to apply best practices and standards to your daily work.
- Enthusiastic in implementing scalable solutions using the right tools. Our code base is mostly composed of PHP, Python, .NET, VueJS, but we care more about general development skills rather than skills on a language or framework.
- Enjoy solving complex problems using simple solutions.
- Work experience with Scrum Agile development framework and comfortable working with a close team with multiple skills and experience.
- You are comfortable in reading, writing, and speaking in English, face to face, or for an audience.
- Having work experience with some of these topics Amazon AWS, MySQL, GitHub, Jenkins, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira will be a key advantage.
- Being familiar with DevOps practices will also help your day-to-day work.
