Primary Job Role
The primary role of the Senior Project Manager is to manage large scale ERP implementation and consulting services provided by Fortude. Responsibilities would also include managing cross-functional teams, scope management, developing the detailed project schedule and ensuring all tasks are completed as per the schedule. He or she will have primary ownership of the project deliverables assigned to project team and will provide day-to-day direction to the project team. He or she will be responsible for communicating the project status to the stakeholders and successfully delivering the project in accordance with the prescribed methodology.
Become the owner of the project/ program and guide all phases of the project lifecycle
Lead projects from pre-sales to successful completion with compliance to Fortude Deployment Methodology.
Guide change and influence decision making
Responsible for defining project scope, budget, schedule and critical target milestones.
Authors, maintains, and applies detailed project plans to track progress towards achievement of project goals and delivery excellence
Provide periodic status updates to all stakeholders while adhering to Fortude Project Governance Plan.
Assist consultants and individual teams in executing activities and producing deliverables
Monitor and control project activities and identify any open issues/risks in each of the phases proactively
Drive the cutover plan and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Own project/ program budget and provide monthly financial reporting
Liaise with internal and customer finance departments to ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments
Liaise with resource planning to ensure resources are available to support the timelines within the project schedule and budget
Manage a multi-discipline teams working onsite and offshore (functional, technical as well as client teams)
Carry out end-of-project performance appraisals for team members
Establish and monitor compliance with standards for documentation, data, and training
Facilitate lessons learned or large retrospectives and assist delivery organization in implementing the improvements.
Work with PMO to provide methodology guidance and tailoring for implementation approach and align project teams to the set approach
Mentor and guide project managers while identifying areas for skill development.
Assist pre-sales team in providing estimates and project proposals for new opportunities while ensuring their alignment to Fortude value proposition
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
Master’s degree (optional)
10+ Years of industry experience with a minimum of 5+ years in project management.
Having completed at least 2 full cycles of ERP end-to-end implementation will be an added advantage.
