You will be responsible for:
- Budgeting accountabilities of MAS Foundation including completing financial statements, invoicing, and documentation trail management.
- Operational finance activities of the MAS Foundation including payment processing, cashflow management, donor fund collection, currency risk management, and maintaining relationships with external authorities and banks.
- Preparing the Foundation’s quarterly / annual management reports to management and donors.
- Completion of the Financial Audit of MAS Foundation
- Quarterly and annual submission of Income Tax returns, arranging self-assessment tax payments, final payments, and accountable for indirect taxes to ensure company meets all compliance requirements
- Identifying tax exposure by foreign donations at the point of initiation of donation.
- Review and provide advice regarding specific tax exposure for payments and agreements ensuring that company meets all compliance requirements
Does this sound like you?
- Degree in Accounting / Finance and fully qualified in ICASL / CIMA/ ACCA equivalent degree
- 2+ years of work experience relating to Financial Accounting in NGO / NPO / International Development / Environmental Conservation / Community empowerment sectors
- Technical knowledge in IFRS, SLAS, Tax, hands-on experience in income tax filing process
- Conversant with Sri Lanka tax and NGO/NPO statutory obligations
- Expertise in Microsoft excel, strong analytical and communication skills
- A strong communicator, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of the Foundation ecosystem
- A strong advocate for a more sustainable world
