The Challenge

The purpose of the job is to manage all aspects of the engineering service function within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement all the activities and programmes related to engineering operations in the plant to assure production service level and product quality as practiced and established by the organization set standards such as safety, Reliability Centered Maintenance, energy  and quality (ISO compliance).
• Manage, evaluate and develop a team of engineering to ensure that the organisation's engineering strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organisation complies with all relevant engineering standards.
• Liaise with functional or operational area managers to implement engineering strategies that are appropriate for their business requirements, but consistent with the organisation's overall engineering strategy.
• Establish best in class Engineering practices and ensure continuous improvements in the Engineering function to support business requirements.
• Support all the engineering personnel in the plant is in competent level.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to get the solutions and  resolve disagreements over the terms and conditions of service agreements in technical aspect.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or any other equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Analytical skills ,Mentoring and coaching skills are required.
• Ability to interact and communicate with multi-cultural teams and environments.
• Excellent  communication skills in both  English &  Sinhala
