With an exciting growth plan in place, we now have an opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our Technical Services Team in Colombo. On offer is a hybrid role, in which you will get the opportunity to support sales and delivery teams, and act as a local lead for the delivery of cloud projects leveraging global, regional, and local delivery resources. As such, you will package and position migration projects, managed services, and support plans leveraging on existing frameworks and services established by the global Crayon team. Our customers are large enterprises to mid-size companies, partners, and independent software vendors seeking to capitalize on rehosting, re-architecting, or refactoring solutions in order to move them to hyper-scale public cloud platforms. Your responsibility will also include to lead and QA project delivery and cloud assessments, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained, project milestones are met, and communication between delivery and Crayon’s customers and partners is maintained.
Among your main objectives, we can highlight the following:
- Pre-sales support for sales teams, including positioning of cloud solutions, pre-sales qualification, and opportunity identification
- Act as the subject matter expert for Azure, including liaison with strategic partners when needed
- Design and presentation of the customer and partner-specific solutions, as well as standard services
- Act as a trusted advisor for our partners and customers regarding cloud solutions design, architecture, and delivery
- Assess and develop cloud economics and migration plans tailored to customer requirements
- Identify cloud key drivers at our customers to grow market share for Crayon, by demonstrating our technical expertise
It is envisaged that you have a solid understanding of IT operations, hybrid or full cloud, with a focus on Azure. We believe you display strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present solutions to customers, partners, and Crayon colleagues. In addition, we are looking for a results-oriented team player, with a high aptitude to learn new technologies and stay current with Microsoft and multi-cloud solutions. It would be advantageous if you have work knowledge from pre-sales, and/or enterprise environments. In this role, you will be integral to delivering input to the roadmap of the Cloud Managed Services organization, locally and worldwide. You have integrity, are highly motivated, and have the ability to work independently and collaborate across a global multidiscipline team
Wanted Competency & Experience:
- 3+ years’ practical experience with Azure
- 5+ years of IT experience in a consultancy, inhouse or pre-sales role
- Experience from cloud assessment and deployment, as well as cloud solutions trending with commercial customers
- Experience with developing migration plans, SOWs and/or project deliverables, and knowledge of multiple migration tools
- Demonstrated experience from end-to-end delivery of cloud-based solutions
- Working knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and Infrastructure as Code
- Cloud-related certifications and/or competencies including but not limited to Implementing and managing Microsoft Cloud - MCP, MTCS, MCSE, MCSA, Cloud platform and productivity, Azure, Windows Server, AD, virtualization, system architecture, and exchange server
Practical Information:
- Location for this role: Colombo, Sri Lanka
- Languages required: Professional level English, and Tamil or Sinhala, written & spoken
