The Challenge

Reporting to the Applications Support Team Manager, the selected candidate's primary responsibilities will be to provide support for various business applications accessed by different business units in North America, Europe and Asia. Acting as a mentor to the application support team in providing guidance for the incident Management process, the selected candidate will act as the subject matter expert and will provide technical Guidance in achieving the highest customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior point of escalation within the application support team
  • Diagnose, analyze and resolve escalated incidents/tickets on all related applications
  • Assist team members in resolving incidents by sharing technical expertise
  • Identify issues, opportunities and recommend solutions that will enhance performance and lead times
  • Escalate and route complex or unsolved incidents to senior colleagues, third party specialist and vendors
  • Analyze current processes to propose ongoing improvements
  • Work in an Agile/Lean environment, where teamwork and ongoing improvement are valued
  • Assist on projects or special initiatives as and when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science / Information technology or equivalent, Higher Diploma from a recognized educational institute
  • 5 years of application support experience, at least 2 years in senior support role with hands on experience in PP, MM, SD, FI/CO modules of SAP
  • Experience in SAP ABAP and BASIS will be an added advantage
  • Analytical and creative problem solving approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration skills to effectively liaise with both business and other IT teams in the organization
  • Motivated by challenge, rigorous and independent
  • Ability to adapt easily to change
  • Experience in a multinational company will be an added advantage
