Key Responsibilities
- Identify impact of Business Requirements on systems and processes
- Liaise with Business Analysts, Project Managers and other project team members to agree on the scope and testing plan
- Write UAT test scripts in a clear manner with focus on user perspective
- Perform and support User Acceptance Testing of the Business Requirements for all platforms and associated tools/systems defined in scope
- Identify, log and analyse software defects. Manage bug reports and ensure their resolution, working closely with Dev, QA teams and project representatives
- Provide regular status reports on testing results
- Manage creation of full documentation library of UAT Test Scenarios, Test Scripts for all operational activities
- Support ongoing maintenance of the testing library, and ensure these are kept updated at all times
- Implement process and framework for UAT team in conjunction with Manager and Assistant Managers
- Ensure timely sign off of test deliverables
- Manage and update relevant documentation and perform users support during UAT
- Organise required tasks for successful UAT start and results delivery
- Be able to lead all UAT related activities from start till the end with minimum management intervention
- Be one of the key points of contact between offshore team and onshore team, stakeholders, project team members
- Be able to provide clear overview of the testing status and issues for ongoing projects
- Take independent decisions and be able to proactively work on the project goals
- Support business and stakeholders providing necessary overview of the items going live and their status
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
- Relevant experience in a testing, QA area
- Test preparation and execution experience
- Experience of Agile delivery is beneficial
- Strong problem solving and good analytical skills (defect analysis and reporting)
- Must be a confident team player with good interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release
- Internal systems – ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency in MS Office products
- Experience in remote working and team management beneficial
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles and project phases
- Ability to raise and communicate issues and risks
- Ability to correctly identify audience for project communication
- Attention to details and ability to see and correct mistakes
- Critical thinking and ability to follow or suggest the right approach to testing activities
- Experience of MIT Trading System and MDMS would be advantageous
- Knowledge of equities, derivatives and LSEG markets beneficial
- Knowledge of FX Trading is beneficial
- Knowledge of SQL is a nice to have
