Summary

We are looking for experienced Senior Salesforce developers to join our exciting and rapidly expanding team in Sri Lanka. This position is a hands-on development position where you will be responsible for the development of Wiley’s Student Relationship Platform on Force.com while leading the solution design and architecture of the platform. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Salesforce to work closely with architects, engineers, and product owners to create complex applications and integrations. You will also ensure your commitment to the highest quality standards both in functional and non-functional areas. Responsibilities:

  • Be the technology lead for the team, take ownership of the high-quality deliverables and be accountable.
  • Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements; review and guide implementation approach and key artifacts; direct early solution evaluation around gaps/risks, including the pro-active management of issues.
  • Be responsible for technical design, solutioning, maintaining the quality of the code and following engineering best practices.
  • Be accountable for the software quality including performance, scalability, and accuracy of any implemented feature.
  • Practice high-quality development methods: unit test writing, code review, code standards, integration technical documentation.
  • Work closely with BAs (Business Analysts) to design and architect applications/platforms.
  • Work with non-technical business colleagues to understand the functionality, composition, and user requirements.
  • Participate in storyboarding and solution design sessions. Recommend alternate approaches, define technical impacts, and provide sizing estimates.
  • Liaise with the Salesforce.com and the Salesforce. com-certified service partners on solution development
  • Drive/participate in PI planning and be an Agile advocate.
  • Be responsible for maintaining the health of the production system and attend to any production incidents providing quick fixes/workarounds.
  • Identify system vulnerabilities/tech debts and assist prioritize them for the team.
  • Collaborate on and inform cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation.
  • Continually refine business acumen and establish domain/industry vertical expertise.
  • Assist performance appraisals and provide guidance and mentoring the team members.
  • Helping on interviews and hiring process of new team member

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ professional experience in software development with at least 6+ years as a senior developer in Salesforce.
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in managing a team and being accountable for team deliveries.
  • Good people management skills with the ability to identify bright talent and groom technology staff to the next level. Conduct the PA process.
  • Proven capability in independently designing technical architecture solutions based on Salesforce platform that spans multiple systems and includes integration and authentication across systems, with hands-on participation in building the solution for large implementation.
  • Strong proficiency on Salesforce.com platform, APEX, Visual Force, Salesforce APIs, XML, SQL, HTTP/HTTPS, EAI processes, SOAP or REST based web services, SOQL, Database design & modeling, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of the following: MySQL, PuTTY, Git, JavaScript.
  • Ability to guide/mentor junior developers while working with leads on designing applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including making presentations to varied teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD builds/deploy pipelines.
  • Understanding of technology methodologies including Agile (SCRUM), continuous integration/ continuous development and automation.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and writing user stories.
