The Challenge 

The purpose of the job is to provide advice, influence and coaching on health, safety & environment protection to plant team members. Support to establish, implement, maintain and continual improvements of the best safety practices, positive safety culture, OHSAS 18001: 2007 & ISO 14001 managements systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support to Implement & maintain the OHS management system 
  • Participate in accident prevention operations. Conduct & generate reports on random check of situations & equipment, action implementation & performance following up & Maintain, update H & S share point data base, preparing monthly SHE PPT for top management and other cross functional departments as instruction given by the SHE manager.
  • Conduct live risk assessments for all H&S aspects in process changes and new projects.
  • Ensure property protection through maintaining close relationship with ERT members of the plant , organizing fire drills,  facilitating & carrying out periodic inspections of fire safety facilities & coordinating with relevant agencies.
  • Conduct SHE related training & coaching to develop the plant team members to align with the SHE strategy.
  • Overlook the duties and responsibilities of SHE team leader of the plant.
  • Support  SHE Manager in SHE Communications
  • Support SHE manager to effective communication of incidents, conduct
  • internal system evaluations, cross assessments, supplier & contractor evaluations accidents, actions taken, documentation, update & maintenance of records, update of visual controls and preparation & presentation of progress to the management & Conduct monthly  SHE committees meeting
  • Support to Implement & maintain the environment management system requirements relevant to the site.
  • Assist SHE manager to review EMS documentation & identification, review & evaluation of environment aspects; identification, facilitation, communication, establishment & follow up of impact management programs & Support to SHE manager to implementation of operational controls
  • Execute & Review waste management process, & emergency preparedness plan

 

Requirements

  • BSc Engineering /NDT in the fields of chemical/mechanical/polymer in any other related discipline OR an advanced diploma
  • 2 – 5 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge in MS Office packages and fluency in English
  • Ability to conduct internal audits according to the ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001
  • Knowledge in SAP System, technical knowledge of production & engineering would be an added advantage.
