POST OF PROJECT ENGINEER I (AUTOMATION)
GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
To effectively prepare design proposals, documentations and conduct assigned projects, guide technical team & external suppliers for the fabrication, assembling and installation as complying with the timelines.
JOB ROLE
- Identify business opportunities in Ansell global plants and communicate suitable design ideas to senior management
- Preparing comprehensive project proposals, drawings, BOQs and other documentations.
- Ensure all reports and statistical information are accurate and are prepared and submitted on a timely basis as per laid down procedures. Ensure necessary documentation and records are maintained to meet legal, regulatory and GMP needs.
- Handle Automation & CAPEX projects from design through to installation
- Develop solutions collaborating with plant operation teams and colleagues
- Develop feasibility studies and simulations/prototypes for automation proposals
- Expertism in PLC installation, wiring, Programming, troubleshooting & maintenance.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the robots and associated equipment in their designated area of expertise
- Ability to handle multiple projects and switch quickly and comfortably between projects
- Work effectively with other team members and maintain positive morale and sense of teamwork
- Work closely with Engineering Stores, Finance, and Purchasing Department for the smooth purchasing process.
- Liaise with outside contractors and other parties when necessary to provide services.
- Higher mobility to travel other Ansell plants & business premises (Local & foreign) when required.
- Timely completion of allocated Projects.
- Complying with Ansell EHS, Quality, CSR and 5S standards.
- Ensure that Engineering Manager, HOM, Production Manager and all other Managers are aware of problems, potential problems or developments which will impact on the business. Assist them with planning.
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- BSc. Degree in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical engineering from a recognized university
Job Experience
- Experience in the area of plant floor automation would be preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to design solutions to satisfy plant automation requirements with the support from colleagues and management
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or solid works, BOQ preparations & project management
- Familiarity with PLC & PLC software.
- Willingness and legal ability to travel and work in the other Ansell sites.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present material to senior officials.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential

Additional Requirements
- Travel will be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or carrying out projects in plants. Estimate 40% of travels including local travels.
