JOB ROLE
 

• Take positive steps to ensure that only safe working practices are allowed, and safe conditions and necessary safety equipment are provided and used correctly by employees in the Plant.
• Ensure that the Industrial Manufacturing Division complies with all Quality and environmental regulations and that the certifications and affiliations obtained are held and sustained. Ensure that the higher of legislated or company requirements are met.
• Implement approved Employee Relation practices, programs and procedures, which will engender harmonious relationship and minimize the risk of third-party intervention and / or Industrial disputation or inefficiencies caused by absenteeism or labour turnover. Take corrective action where necessary in accordance with SOP’s to ensure that these are achieved.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards. Ensure all environmental requirements are met to prevent spillage of materials such as Compounded latex, dispersions, coagulant, pigments etc.
• Ensure that the Department is adequately staffed with budgeted personnel who are trained, developed, motivated and competent and have the opportunity and direction to achieve their maximum potential.
• Ensure that your sub-ordinates are well disciplined and neatly dressed in uniform at all times and that they wear Personal protective equipment (PPE) as stipulated by the Company.
• Effectively refresher training of (multi-skill) sub-ordinates so that every operation can be sufficiently and adequately manned.
• Ensure that all Company activities conducted either personally or by subordinates, comply with all Sri Lankan legal requirements and the highest Company and ethical standards.
• Maintain waste in lower trend in responsible machine & lower the budgeted reject rate
• Improve the knowledge and train the shop floor people on the technical aspect of the glove manufacturing process and Make them use of it.
• Analyze the production runs and highlight the points to be focused and points to be benchmarked
• Develop better specifications based on the past data for incoming raw materials
• Forecasting on the process outputs passed on the variations in the incoming materials and propose machine parameters to optimize the process
• Conduct Statistical Analysis of Data Captured and give support and guidance for the Mission Critical Improvement Projects
• Ensure the security of Organization's sensitive data and protect them
• Any other duties and responsibilities assign by Head of Manufacturing (IGBU) or any other person acting on his behalf.
• Monthly basis financial analysis of responsible machine
• Calculation & maintain of FPY, RTY and OEE in all machine of IGBU
• Any other duties assigned by the Production Manager or any other person acting on his behalf
   

Key Position Requirements

Education
 

• BSc in Chemical & process engineering or Production engineering from a recognized university.
   

Job Experience
 

• One to Two years’ industrial Experience. (Experience in glove manufacturing will be added advantages)
   

Knowledge and Skills
 

• Six sigma green belt preferable, Good computer skills, Minitab, preferable software development
